Linking an external account is done through instant verification using our partner, Plaid, which can be used to link to many national banking institutions.
- Tap My Varo > External accounts > Link an account
- Find your external bank
- Enter your login credentials for your external account
- Follow any verification prompts
- View linked external account and balance on the Home tab
If you’re having trouble linking a new account or refreshing info for an account you’ve already linked, you’ll see an alert on the External accounts page and next to any affected accounts. Get details about your issue and how to fix it by tapping the alert.
One common cause of an alert is changing your external bank account password after it's been linked. You can fix this by entering the new password in the Varo app and refreshing the linked account.
