Once you receive and activate your new Varo Bank Visa® Debit Card, and download the new app, direct deposits set up for your old account will automatically deposit into your new account for the time being. Your old Varo account and routing numbers will stop working in the near future. Update this information with your employer as soon as you can!
You'll also need to update your bank account info to qualify for our elevated savings rate of 3.00% (which requires qualifying total direct deposits of $1,000 or more in the qualifying period) and for Varo Advance (which requires $1,000 in direct deposits in the last 31 days), as well as Varo Believe (which has a qualification of a minimum of 2 qualifying direct deposits totaling $1,000 or more within the past 90 days. Direct deposits that are automatically moved over from your old account will not count towards these qualifications.
Find your new account number and routing number (which you’ll need to give to your employer to update your direct deposit) in the new Varo Bank app by tapping Move Money > Direct Deposit, or using the link below, which will take you to that spot in the app.
