Yes, your credit history can be built even if you don’t have Safe Pay turned on, because we report your payment history each month.
If you don’t have Safe Pay turned on, you’ll need to manually make payments each month from your Varo Believe Secured Account or set up payments from a linked account.
Keep in mind that whether you have Safe Pay turned on or off, the Varo Believe Card must be repaid on time to avoid late charges and card suspension. Continued use of the Varo Believe Card depends on timely payment.
The Varo Believe Program is designed to help you build your credit; however, a variety of factors impact your credit including payment history, utilization, derogatory marks, account age, total number of accounts, and inquiries--not all factors are equally weighted. Building your credit may take time and is a process, but the Varo Believe Program may be able to help.
