How you receive your tax refund will depend on what information you give the IRS. If you give the IRS your bank account routing and account numbers according to the IRS’s instructions, you can receive your tax refund via direct deposit. If you don’t provide the IRS with your bank account routing and account numbers according to their instructions, the IRS will send any tax refund due to you via paper check to the address they have on file for you.
If you need to update your information with the IRS, please visit www.irs.gov > File > Filing for Individuals > Update My Information. For more information on how to file your tax return, please visit www.irs.gov> File > Filing for Individuals > How to File.
To find your Varo Bank Account number and routing number in the Varo App, tap Varo Bank Account or Varo Savings Account > Manage Account > Toggle “Show account number” on.
A tax refund may only be direct deposited into an account that is in your name. If a tax refund is directed to an account that is not in your name, it may be rejected and returned to the IRS. No more than three electronic refunds can be deposited into a single financial account or prepaid card. If you exceed this limit you will receive notice from the IRS and a paper check refund.
